Hilariously Realistic 4D Paintings

As ‘realistic’ as it may look, this incredible painting is simply part of a new exhibition of four dimensional art in North East China. The collection of paintings, on display at a contemporary art exhibition in the Jilin province, uses techniques similar to the ‘stand-up’ advertising hoardings that are sometimes painted on the edges of sports pitches. The pieces are a huge hit with spectators who have already shown a talent for interacting with the works to become part of the art themselves.

Amazing Large Scale Sand Drawings

Sand Drawings are huge two dimensional images that live for the time of the tide and are done simply by raking the sand and working together. It seems the beach inspires many artists. Since a lot of us grew up making sand castles, I suppose it only makes sense. Sand artist Jamie Wardley and his team have been creating these humongous sand drawings on beaches all over the north of England and Scotland.


"Time is a big challenge when you're working on a beach," said the 32 year-old Bradford native. "You have about six hours from when the tide has gone out before it comes back in again. It's not going to wait if you are running behind schedule. And when it comes back, it comes back fast."

Model Cars Made From Beer Cans

Sandy Sanderson is a resourceful New Zealand artist who uses empty soda and beer cans to create detailed models of famous automobiles. Needing something to keep himself occupied after breaking his wrist in a motorcycle accident, he started building those really amazing model cars.

He used those Coruba cans to make his first automobile, the Cooper Climax, and moved on to even more complex models. He tries to improve his technique with each CanCar model he creates, and plans to continue until there's no more improvement to be made. Sandy sells his beer and soda can vehicles on his website for prices between $800 and $2,000.
